Imports of primary carbon and alloy steel products (excluding semis, stainless steel and drawn wire) amount to 56 518 tonnes during September 2009.
According to data released by the South African Revenue Service, imports of primary carbon and alloy steel products (excluding semis, stainless steel and drawn wire) amount to 56 518 tonnes during September 2009, an increase of 159,8% compared with 21 750 tonnes during August 2009 and a decrease of 15,0% compared with 66 480 tonnes during September 2008.
Imports of primary carbon and alloy steel products (excluding semis, stainless steel and drawn wire) during the first nine months of 2009 amount to 357 549 tonnes, a decrease of 17,5% compared with the 433 226 tonnes of primary carbon and alloy steel products imported during the corresponding period of 2008.
Imports of primary carbon and alloy steel products (excluding semis, stainless steel and drawn wire) during the twelve months from October 2008 to September 2009 amount to 483 803 tonnes, a decrease of 10,7% compared with the 541 543 tonnes of primary carbon and alloy steel products imported during the corresponding twelve month period.
